If the endless runner genre was made for one character, it’s Sonic. The Hedgehog, of course. SEGA has finally released Sonic Dash on the Windows Store, both for Windows and Windows Phone.
The game has topped charts on other platforms and other app stores, so there’s nothing much to be said about this popular arrival, other than the fact that this premier version offers the same amazing gameplay and feature set that you would expect.
A rundown, right after the official description:
“PLAY AS SONIC THE HEDGEHOG AS YOU DASH, JUMP AND SPIN YOUR WAY ACROSS STUNNING 3D ENVIRONMENTS. SWIPE YOUR WAY OVER AND UNDER CHALLENGING OBSTACLES IN THIS FAST AND FRENZIED ENDLESS RUNNING GAME.”
The basic premise of this free game is to dash forward at incredible speeds, while destroying what needs to be destroyed on your path. Multiple characters and unique abilities keep things interesting, and fans will appreciate the environments and boss battles that are on offer.
You also get daily challenges and the ability to unlock, win or buy power ups to boost up your score.
Bright and cheery visuals complete the package, and the game runs smooth and steady, as it should. Give it a try if you’re up for some lightning fast action. Works fine on all modern versions of Windows, x86, x64 and ARM.
